In the spirit of celebration and progression, the Faculty of Religious and Social Sciences (RSS) at the Catholic University of Ghana held its 2024/25 academic year executive elections during the faculty's week festivities. The results are in, and we're thrilled to announce the newly elected executive team who will lead us into the next chapter of excellence and growth.

Leading the charge as President of the Faculty is the dynamic Ms. Alasan Kikolomo Precious, with Ms. Rhoda Kumih Boateng serving as Vice President. Joining them, we have Ms. Okoronkwo Vanessa stepping into the role of Finance Officer, and Ms. Allison Esinam Agbeme as the Secretary of the Faculty. Together, they bring a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to their respective roles.

During the handover ceremony, the outgoing President, Mr. Adam Siaka, offered his heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected executives. He emphasized the importance of courage, tolerance, and quality leadership, urging them to prioritize service above self-interest. Mr. Siaka also encouraged the team to elevate the visibility of RSS within our campus community, showcasing the faculty's invaluable contributions and initiatives.

He specifically called upon students from the journalism and communication departments of RSS to consider active participation in SRC positions, emphasizing their potential to drive holistic university development.

In her response, President-elect Ms. Alasan Kikolomo Precious expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and pledged to build upon the foundation laid by her predecessor. She stressed the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders within the faculty to ensure the success of her leadership tenure.

Following their election, the new executives were formally introduced to the Dean and Heads of Department for an official handover and swearing-in ceremony, marking the beginning of their term.

As we embark on this exciting journey with our new leadership team, let us rally together in support of their vision for progress, innovation, and inclusivity within the Faculty of Religious and Social Sciences. Together, we can achieve great heights and make a lasting impact on our beloved university community.

Stay tuned for more updates and initiatives from RSS as we continue to strive for excellence and distinction in all our endeavors!
