INCREASE IN INCIDENTS OF INSTANT JUSTICE IN BONO REGION

Story By: Lawrence Yeboah Gyan Despite an increase in police officers in several towns around the Bono Region, mob justice is progressively becoming a widespread practice and has led to the loss of several lives. Also known as “instant justice” or “jungle justice”, the situation is also creating fear among citizens as one is not sure who could become the next victim. The Bono Regional Police Command has received more than 10 reports of mob justice in less than four months, all of which have resulted in the victims' deaths. The communities where these deaths have occurred include Wamanafo in the Dormaa East District, Penkwase, a suburb of Sunyani and Abesim in the Sunyani Municipality. Other communities are Odomase in the Sunyani West Municipality, Senase and Berekum in the Berekum Municipality among others. Suncity Morning Show Team Donates To Three Visually Impaired Siblings in Sunyani

Story By: Lawrence Yeboah Gyan   The Suncity Radio Morning Show Team, through the benevolence of its listeners, has donated an amount of Two thousand six hundred Cedis (GHS2,600) to three visually impaired siblings in Sunyani. This comes after the mother of the three siblings in an emotional interview with the Host of "Suncity Morning Drive" Mark Abisah (Papa Abisah) appealed to the general public for support towards the upkeep and medical care of the three children. Mrs. Naomi Pomaa, mother of the three siblings disclosed that the children, Sandra Aniniwaa, 24, Gloria Pomaa Yeboah, 17, and Lamford Acheampong Yeboah, 8 years, were not born blind but lost their sight as they were growing. The sad situation, coupled with stigma from neighbors, she said, has left them devastated and has put them in emotional trauma. Catholic Health Service congratulates Bishop Matthew.

The Catholic Health Directorate today made a surprise visit to the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani, Most Rev. Matthew K wasi Gyamfi.  The visit took place today   at the secretariat Annex of the Diocese during a Priests' senate meeting. The group was led by their Directress, Sis. Rosina Fosu Ntiwaa. The motive   for the visit    was to congratulate the Bishop on his elections the president of the Ghana catholic Bishops’ Conference(GCBC). Rain Storm Claims 3 Lives; several others hospitalized.

A heavy rain storm has perished the lives of three youngsters in their twenties. This occurred after an old school building roof fell on multiple spectators who were watching football match at Badu in the Bono Region of Ghana. The Assemblyman for Lawaage Electoral area and Secretary for Badu town Council spoke to our correspondent; ‘ Initially, we thought of nineteen affected victims, but as I’m speaking now they are up to twenty-eight in number. The Catholic Bishop of Sunyani, Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi    Gyamfi joined some section of the catholic Youth this week at Kwasibuokrom in the Jaman South Municipality to celebrate Diocesan version of the World Youth day. The event lasted for three days and was attended by representatives of the Youth from the seven deaneries within the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani-Ghana. On the Catholic Faith.
